Background and Discussion:
The 6,195 square foot cul-de-sac right-of-way on Common Dock Drive was originally conveyed and dedicated to Harris County by Plat for the purposes of establishing and maintaining a public road in March 2023. Current development plans for the overall site render the Common Dock Drive Cul-de-sac ROW unnecessary in its current location.
Expected Impact:
The abandonment will clear title to the underlying fee owner of this property to accommodate future development plans.
Alternative Options:
Harris County would retain a ROW for a roadway now unnecessary as currently constituted and which would prevent optimum development of the overall site as is being sought by the underlying fee owner.
