Request for approval of a certain project, decreeing the project to be a public necessity and convenience, and directing the Harris County Real Property Division to acquire, one (1) road easement tract for the public project known Traffic Signal - Fallbrook Drive at Legacy Park Drive - FY23-24, for the purpose of traffic signal installation, UPIN 24035MF3GT01, Precinct 3.

Background and Discussion:
A traffic study was conducted for Fallbrook Drive at Legacy Park Drive, which warranted a traffic signal at the intersection. The traffic signal will enhance safety as it relates to the intersection operations. The request for acquisition of the tract would allow our contractor to conduct the necessary construction elements onto the existing property that's outside of the County's Right-of-Way.
Expected Impact:
The approval of the acquisition of the tract would allow for the designed signal elements to be properly installed at the intersection.
Alternative Options:
One alternative option is not to obtain the necessary tract. This will require extensive surveying work and redesigning the signal layout that will significantly delay the construction of the signal.
