Background and Discussion:
Project includes repair/reconstruction of asphalt pavement at various locations throughout the Genoa area for the BetterStreets2Neighborhoods Community Program for Harris County Precinct 2. Change includes increase in quantities to complete road improvement on Uvalde Road, from Beltway 8 exit road to Crosby Freeway. Major items include:
- Repair Base Course Using Dense-Graded Hot-Mix Asphalt (PG 64-22, Type A) - 3,755 TN x $105.00 = $394,275.00
- Tack Coat (0.01 Gallons per Square Yard) SS3016 GAL 1,675 GL x $4.50 = $7,537.50
- Dense-Graded Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Course (PG 64-22, Type D) = 940 TN x $110.00 = $103,400.00
- Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement for Shoulder Dressing- From Roadway 40 TN x $40.00 = $1,600.00
- Traffic Control - Furnish, Install, and Remove = 0.5 MO x $20,000.00 = $10,000.00
- Paving Markings = $6,112.80
Additional time is granted to complete the extra work.

Change allows contractor to perform required road improvements on Uvalde Road which was added to the contract at the request of Precinct 2.
