Request Summary (Agenda Caption):
title
Request for approval to execute a Utility Construction Services Agreement with CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC in the amount of $13,619.20 to relocate the utility pole that is in conflict with Treaschwig Rd A (Phase 1) - from 1,000' west of Aldine Westfield Rd to west of Cypress Creek - 2014, UPIN 14104MF08X01, Precinct 3.
end
Background and Discussion:
Treaschwig Road A (Phase 1) is a roadway improvement project that upgrades Treaschwig Road between Aldine Westfield Road and west of Cypress Creek to a four-lane concrete pavement section. This Utility Construction Services Agreement is required to facilitate the relocation of a utility pole currently in conflict with the driveway along Treaschwig, allowing construction to proceed without obstruction.
Expected Impact:
Approval of the Utility Construction Services Agreement will authorize CenterPoint Energy Houston Electric, LLC to relocate the utility pole currently in conflict with the driveway. This relocation is necessary for Harris County to proceed with constructing and pouring the driveway at that location.
Alternative Options:
Due to the nature of the conflict caused by this utility pole, there is no alternative solution. If the pole remains in its current location, it will not only delay Harris County’s construction progress, but also continue to create a public safety hazard, as it is situated in an area frequently accessed by large 18-wheelers entering and exiting the site.
