Background and Discussion:

ACE Mentor Program is a nationwide, free, after-school mentoring program for high school students to learn about careers in the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering industry. The Program was founded in 1994 in New York City to address the need to grow and diversify the AEC industry. Today, ACE Mentor Program is a federation of 70+ affiliates operating in 38 states, plus the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Toronto.

Build It Forward is an educational and career-building event where students gain hands-on experience in

construction, engineering, and technology. The event brings together students, industry mentors, and community partners to promote skills, confidence, and professional pathways in the built environment.

Expected Impact:

Participation in the ACE Mentor Program will help build a large, diverse, and better-prepared workforce; providing assistance and guidance to students through scholarships, internships, and mentoring; and engages students and communities that are traditionally underrepresented in the industry.

Alternative Options:

Not approving this request would cause the organizers to find alternative transportation.
