Background and Discussion:
Landlord and Tenant heretofore executed and entered into that certain Office Lease dated January 5, 2016 (“Original Lease”), that certain First Amendment to Office Lease approved by the Commissioners Court on July 31, 2018 (the “First Amendment”), that certain Second Amendment to Office Lease approved by the Commissioners Court on August 27, 2019 (the “Second Amendment”, that certain Third Amendment to Office Lease approved by the Commissioners Court on September 27, 2022, that certain Fourth Amendment to Office Lease approved by the Commissioners Court on January 23, 2025; together with the Original Lease and First Amendment through Fourth Amendment referred to herein as the “Lease”).
The TAG Center award was accepted by Commissioners Court on December 11, 2025.
Expected Impact:
The Texas Anti-Gang (TAG) grant program for local governments administered by the Office of Public Safety through the Office of the Texas Governor supports regional, multidisciplinary approaches to combat gang violence through the coordination of gang prevention, intervention, and suppression activities across the state. The intended impact of this project is improved identification of gang members and affiliates, better monitoring of criminal activity within correctional facilities, and enhanced intelligence support to law enforcement agencies, ultimately reducing gang-related violence and organized crime threats in the community.
Alternative Options:
Not accepting this award would forfeit the funding opportunity for the TAG Center.
