Background and Discussion:

Harris County Precinct 4 worked with community partners, including the Gulfton Management District, to identify opportunities for a pop-up plaza and supporting events that would attract investment to areas the Management District currently maintains and has identified for improvement. The “placita” will transform a previously abandoned property into a space where community members and visitors can share in the cultural treasures of Gulfton.

Expected Impact: Increased economic development and improved community cohesion.
