Background and Discussion:

For the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, adopting the Nutanix Cloud Platform can deliver significant operational, security, and cost benefits that support the agency’s mission of prosecuting cases efficiently and serving a rapidly growing population. The platform also enables secure management of digital evidence, case management systems, email, databases, and virtual desktop environments while supporting disaster recovery and business continuity. Additionally, recent Harris County procurement documents note that Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure will enable the District Attorney’s Office to deploy and manage workloads across data center and cloud environments with integrated security, scalability, and simplified administration, helping the office modernize operations, improve efficiency, and make better use of taxpayer resources.

Expected Impact:

Implementing Nutanix Cloud Platform will allow higher efficiency in case management, document management and digital evidence management, while increasing security. With higher-efficiency technology, employees at the District Attorney’s Office will realize less time spent on documentation and more time on other matters to further the goals of the District Attorney’s Office and of Harris County.

Alternative Options:

Employees could continue using the current systems, which are less efficient and also come at a financial cost.
