Background and Discussion:

Traffic signals are installed to improve the operation of an intersection and better facilitate pedestrian activities. As such, the consultant will be tasked with the signal design of the intersection to improve operations. The consultant will be tasked with evaluating pedestrian accessibility through the provision of crosswalks and associated median nose opening adjustments required to facilitate pedestrian activities.

Expected Impact:

Designing and constructing a traffic signal at this intersection will improve operations and better facilitate pedestrian activities.

Alternative Options:

An alternative is to not build a signal at the intersection, which will not provide up to date operations and pedestrian benefits.
