Background and Discussion:

Data center co-location and network services are critical to providing a facility to store power computing hardware and servers that improve Harris County’s networking and business solutions. The service provider is capable of providing rack space, power, cooling, fire protection, security and internet connectivity up to the standards of a modern data center, including redundancy in mission critical application operations.

Expected Impact:

To continue providing data center colocation and network services for current and future projects with the same level of quality of service already being provided to Harris County Universal Services and the Harris County Toll Road Authority.

Alternative Options:

No other recommended solution for this identified need.
