Background and Discussion:
George H. W. Bush Community Center is a complete renovation of 24,000 square feet of and A3 occupancy,
building to include offices, classrooms, lobby, multi-purpose rooms, ancillary spaces exterior cladding, and
MEP. All work shall be completed in accordance with all applicable codes and regulations, which will return the building to full operational use.
This change in contract includes a deduction to materials and labor cost.
Expected Impact:
This change allows unused funds to be returned to Harris County and allows the Contractor to be compensated with retention pending this court action.
Alternative Options:
Should we not move forward with this change order funds will not to be returned to Harris County and retention will not be released.
