Background and Discussion:
Project included the reconstruction of Schiel Road 2 - from West of Fairfield Place Drive to West of Mason Road. Reconstruction includes an upgrade of the roadway from a two-lane asphalt road with open ditches to a 4-lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard with a 32' raised median.
The change in contract includes the following:
• Install Sign $765.00
• Install Flag and Flags Bracket $2,209.90
• Install Temporary Post $1,035.32
• Remove and Replace School Zone Speed Signs $3,397.00
• The final adjustment (reconciliation of actual quantities used in construction against the bid quantities). (-$475,913.57).
Expected Impact:
Change allows unused funds to be returned to Harris County and allows the Contractor to be compensated.
