Background and Discussion:
The location of the work is in the Oak Glen Place (East) subdivision in the Halls Bayou Watershed. The proposed improvements include installation of a new storm sewer system, driveways paving, widening, and regrading of existing roadside ditches, and construction of a new detention pond.
The change in contract includes the following:
Quantity Adjustment: The line items are adjusted to reconcile underrun and new line items quantities on the project for completion of the proposed scope of work.
• Decrease in quantity from existing line-item number 33 - 42” Reinforced concrete pipe for a deduction in the amount of $7,271.67
New line items and additional days:
• Added new line-item number 154 - Wood Bollard fence 6-inch - 1 Lumpsum @ $6,171.15
• Added new line-item number 155 - Electric bill reimbursement - 1 Lumpsum - $1,100.57
• Added 30 calendar days to finish the additional scope of work of wooden Bollard fence at the detention basin at the request of precinct to completion the project.
The above additions and deductions result in a net change in the amount of $0.00 and 30 calendar days.
Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the Oak Glen Place (East) subdivision.
Alternative Options:
The County could elect to fund the requested task or choose to reject it. However, if not approved, the contractor will not be able to complete the scope of work.
