Background and Discussion:
The project scope is a new addition to the existing building for an assembly space with restrooms, storage, required detention pond, and parking lot addition with fire lane striping.
This change in contract entails temporary air conditioners to protect county assets during the installation of the permanent air handling unit.
Expected Impact:
This change order will achieve protecting assets in the library, saving the county from potentially needing to spend money to replace damaged books or equipment. This change allows the completion of the project in accordance with the original intent of the project.
Alternative Options:
Should we not move forward with this change order then the equipment and books will be exposed to an unconditioned space and risk damage.
