title

Request for approval of a State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) Cooperative Contract renewal option with Cooper Consulting Company for technology consulting services for Harris County for the period of January 4, 2025 - January 3, 2026 at a cost of $177,108.

Background and Discussion:

Based on the direction by Court on 6/29/2021, there were several initiatives that were launched to reduce the backlog in the criminal justice system in Harris County. These investments are to be supported by systematic tracking of impact. These consulting services will identify and build processes to track KPIs.

Expected Impact:

Consulting services will work with the complex datasets within the justice system to perform initial case analysis to evaluate current business processes, analyze case types for efficient case triage, and conduct workshops to model and achieve future state processes.

Alternative Options:

The County could proceed as is, but with limited understanding of impact, lack of remedial support in project delays and limited foresight into areas of future investment.
