1. Project Scope (What is the scope of this Project ID? If relevant, use text from background and discussion section on previous pages to populate this response): To prepare the Preliminary Engineering Report (PER) for Bond Project F-70 Cedar Bayou regional detention project evaluating five (5) concept-level alternatives and select three (3) alternatives for further analysis. 2. Project Benefits (i.e., # of structures removed from floodplain, # of road miles with reduced flooding during flood events, acres of floodplain reduction, etc.): The PER Addendum recommended plan reduces peak flows by as much as 370 cfs in the (Atlas 14) 100-year storm event. And provides a maximum water surface elevation reduction of approximately 0.26 feet in 100-yr event. The proposed project provides flood risk reduction benefits for 18 structures, 1.8 miles of road and 389 acres in the 100-year storm event.
