Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 2 (PCT2) has submitted a request to Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) PMO to manage the Milby Street Corridor Study. This project spans approximately 1.32 miles, from Polk Street to Marron Park, and is part of Precinct 2's collaboration with the East End District. The study, aligned with Revive2Thrive vision, aims to enhance safety and improve quality of life by evaluating and upgrading existing infrastructure. The study will focus on assessing roadways, drainage systems, traffic patterns and sidewalk conditions along Milby Street within the project limits.
Expected Impact:
Engaging MBCO Engineering will accelerate the assessment of current roadway, drainage, and pedestrian infrastructure along the corridor. The findings will guide future improvements and ensure integration of pedestrian and bicycle-friendly features, promoting safety and long-term economic growth within the area.
