title

Request for approval of a right-of-entry agreement with the City of Houston, Texas for permission to access over and across City property to perform maintenance work on a section of Turkey Creek from Chatterton Drive to 3,200 feet downstream, Buffalo Bayou Watershed, Project ID W167-04-00-X013, Agreement No. 2022-54, Precinct 3.

Background and Discussion:

The purpose of this this right-of-entry request is to allow the District to access the upstream end of the channel reach to be repaired.  This access will allow the channel repair to be completed more efficiently.

Expected Impact:

This maintenance contract will restore this reach of channel to its original condition by repairing any channel erosion of the earthen section, repairing the concrete lined section where damages have occurred and removing any siltation that may have accumulated in the channel bottom.

Alternative Options:

Access to the channel can only occur at the upstream and downstream ends of the 3,200-ft maintenance reach.  If this access (across COH property) is not approved, all repair equipment will have to access the maintenance reach from the downstream end.  This will increase the time and cost for the District to make the repairs to the damaged areas considerable.
