Background and Discussion:

The Harris County Veteran Services Department was awarded the Sergeant Fox Suicide Prevention Grant for a new grant term of 10/01/2025 - 09/30/2026. This request is to extend 9 existing grant positions to September 30, 2026, and associate the new positions to the new project ID grant coding with a payroll effective date of March 21, 2026.

Expected Impact:

Extending these PCN’s funding dates will better enable VSD to execute the services under the grant award.

Alternative Options:

Not renewing the positions will impact services available to veterans in Harris County.
