Request by the Constable of Precinct 8 for approval to integrate the proposed salary scale for the newly approved Detective rank classification into the Constables pay scale and rank structure.

Background and Discussion:
On October 8, 2024, Commissioners Court approved a request submitted by the HCSO to add one classification to the salary structure related to an item previously approved by court on September 12,2023. Commissioners Court approved an adjusted detective salary scale for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office on February 6, 2025. The proposed salary scale below includes three steps for the new rank.
