Background and Discussion:
The park will close from 10 PM on Thursday, November 6, 2025, through Sunday, November 9, 2025, and will provide the public with an opportunity to connect with maritime forces. The park will reopen once all event assets are cleared off the property on November 9th.
The free event will bring active-duty U.S. Navy and Marine Corps ships and personnel, along with Coast Guard members, to the Port of Houston for public tours and various events, including military demonstrations, air shows, and educational programs. This is a collaboration between multiple entities: the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps, Harris County Commissioner Precinct 2, and the City of La Porte.
