Background and Discussion:

This interlocal agreement allows the County to provide funding to address severe pavement deterioration, subgrade instability, and drainage deficiencies along North Meyer Avenue. As a key connector to SH 146, continued decline threatens safety, mobility, emergency response, and long-term costs, making reconstruction essential for community resilience.

Expected Impact:

This agreement enables improvements that increase roadway safety and reliability, enhance stormwater management to reduce flood impacts, extend pavement life while lowering long-term maintenance costs, improve pedestrian accessibility and multimodal connectivity, and strengthen regional transportation infrastructure within Precinct 2.

Alternative Options:

The alternative option for this proposal would be denial of this project which may have a negative impact for surrounding communities.
