title

Transmittal by the Flood Control District of the executed amendment to the agreement with the Texas General Land Office to approve revised project details for two projects in the CDBG-DR Program (24-033-000-E072).

end

Background and Discussion:

On June 6, 2023, Commissioners Court approved a list of potential CDBG-DR projects under direct allocation to the Flood Control District. This approval authorized the Flood Control District to begin working on project applications for the approved project list. Upon application approvals by the Texas General Land Office, the projects are required to be formally added to the CDBG-DR contract. All projects have been previously included and approved by the Texas General Land Office in prior contract amendments, while this amendment provides revised project details for two projects so we can seek reimbursement on expenditures related to these projects. This transmittal is for the Fourth Amendment to the Agreement, which includes revisions for the following projects: Dinner Creek Stormwater Detention Basin and Jackson Bayou Detention Basin.

Expected Impact:

With the approval of this amendment, the Flood Control District can continue to seek reimbursement on expenditures related to the CDBG-DR program for all projects listed, as it relates to design, environmental, and grant administration activities.

Alternative Options:

The alternative is to not amend the contract and lose opportunities to seek reimbursement or meet spending milestones
