Background and Discussion:

Harris County is seeking approval of a contract renewal option with Outreach Strategists for community income survey and evaluation services for CDBG-MIT funded infrastructure projects. The GLO requires applicants under the CDBG-MIT program to document and report the beneficiaries of each proposed application activity regardless of the national objective met by the activity. Beneficiaries must be documented for each activity proposed in an application for CDBG-MIT funding.

Expected Impact:

Harris County may submit disaster mitigation projects to the GLO for funding. These projects will improve the

resiliency of vulnerable communities from future disasters.

Alternative Options:

Not accepting contract renewal will delay completion application approvals with the GLO for funding. The projects require income survey beneficiary information to be included in project applications.
