Background and Discussion:

The refugee program provides comprehensive health screenings for newly arrived refugees. Given that many of our patients do not speak English, it is essential to offer interpretation services and translate documents to effectively meet their healthcare needs and ensure positive health outcomes. This ensures that important health information is accurately conveyed and understood.

Expected Impact:

By providing interpretation and document translation services to newly arrived refugees at our program we significantly enhance healthcare delivery, foster cultural sensitivity, and trust also reduce health disparities.

Alternative Options:

Due to the amount of health services needed by the refugee population, the limited resources they

possess and their immigration status at the time of entry, limited resources exist as alternative options.
