Request for approval to remove ten (10) Less Lethal Launchers from the Detention Command Containment Team (DCCT) of the Criminal Investigations and Security Division (CISD) inventory to be used as trade in credit for new, improved, and more dependable replacement equipment.

Background and Discussion:
The DCCT has ten (10) less lethal launchers that we would like to exchange for a different weapon system. They would like to trade in the old less lethal launchers for new ones that align with the current SOP and with the newer units the DCCT has purchased recently. The vendor is currently offering a trade in for the old launchers. This transaction will cover 100% of the final cost of the new less lethal launcher equipment.
Expected Impact:
No cost impact to HCSO. Provides DCCT with operational less lethal force options for use with accordance of HCSO SOP 313 DCCT Less Lethal Munitions.
