Background and Discussion:

The acceptance of funds will continue to support Harris County families and provide direct support through integrated support services, and enhance the health and wellness of Harris County women, children,  caregivers and fathers. The request for funding acceptance will help improve the lives of the community members served by increasing case management, care coordination, health education and accessibility to services.

 

Expected Impact:

Public Health Services will continue to support a comprehensive and person-centered strategy for delivering quality care and support to families to reduce infant mortality rates and improve perinatal health outcomes.

 

Alternative Options:

The funds will support the continuation and strengthening of the essential Healthy Start Initiative services for Harris County Residents in receiving high-quality resources aimed at promoting healthy births and addressing urgent maternal and infant health needs.
