Background and Discussion:

This pharmaceutical supply & distribution agreement with Morris & Dickson Co., LLC (M&D) through Harris

County Hospital District allows Public Health Services to purchase Rx (Brand) and Rx (Generic) pharmaceuticals

(a pharmaceutical is a substance used in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of a disease

and which is within Public Health’s Services formulary and/or non-formulary).

Expected Impact:

This agreement allows Public Health Services to purchase pharmaceutical merchandise for Harris County

residents receiving medical services. As a result, it enables Public Health Services to maintain a consistent and

dependable supply of essential pharmaceuticals, thereby enhancing the quality of healthcare services offered

to the Harris County community. This, in turn, directly benefits patients by ensuring they have timely access to

the medications they require for their well-being, promoting better health outcomes.
