Background and Discussion:
Precinct 4 is working on a partnership project with the City of Houston and Memorial Park Conservancy that will be bringing a new community center and upgraded aquatic center in Memorial Park. This project will require a high amount of coordination and phasing. A programming, design, and construction phase will be needed to complete this project. A programming management and constructability reviewer will also be needed for this project. Concept Development will proceed in tandem for the Community and Aquatic Centers and will be phased during design development.
Expected Impact:
This authorization will allow the Office of the County Engineer to solicit a design consultant & proceed with the Conceptual & Schematic Design Phase for this project.
Alternative Options:
Should we not move forward with this Authorization, it will impact and delay the project delivery schedule.
