Background and Discussion:
The Precinct is responding to residents’ needs for illumination to improve nighttime visibility and make the roadway safer for vehicles and pedestrians. The area is not covered by a utility franchise agreement, so street lighting is not provided. The agreement involves CenterPoint Energy providing, installing, owning, and maintaining street lighting services at a rate of $3.48 per streetlight for the installation of 28-45 watt, LED,4800 lumen, cobra style luminaires, w/8' arms.
