Background and Discussion:
Traffic Signal - Normandy Street at La Rochelle Drive is a project to enhance traffic movements at the existing intersection. The service outlet location statement is needed to establish electrical service from CenterPoint Energy, LLC to power the new traffic signal.
Expected Impact:
Approval of the service outlet location statement will allow CenterPoint Energy, LLC to provide electrical service to the traffic signal, which is needed to enhance operations of the intersection of Normandy Street at La Rochelle Drive.
Alternative Options:
All traffic signals require a power source, which is typically obtained through CenterPoint Energy, LLC. Alternative options are to place a generator, which is not reliable, or to not install traffic signals at the intersection.
