Background and Discussion:
On April 29, 2016, Harris County entered into the Oracle Master Agreement (US-GMA-652214) with Oracle America, Inc. to provide Oracle software, licensing, and related technology services for County operations. Since execution of the Master Agreement, the Parties have approved multiple amendments to address the County's evolving technology needs.
The Thirty-Seventh Amendment authorizes the purchase of Oracle Cloud Services for the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) in accordance with Oracle ordering documents 15962999.a3 and 16012292.a3, which are incorporated into the Amendment as Exhibit A.
The Amendment appropriates funding in an amount not to exceed $168,480.00 for the Cloud Services and provides that the services will be performed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the existing Master Agreement. Approval of this Amendment will allow HCTRA to continue utilizing Oracle Cloud Services necessary to support its operational and business technology requirements.
Expected Impact:
Approval of the Thirty-Seventh Amendment to the Oracle Master Agreement will authorize Harris County to purchase Oracle Cloud Services for the Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) will support HCTRA's ongoing business and technology operations by providing continued access to Oracle Cloud Services under the existing Master Agreement. Approval of the Amendment will ensure continuity of service and allow HCTRA to maintain the cloud-based technology resources necessary to support its operational requirements without interruption.
