Background and Discussion:
Public Health Services is seeking approval to create fifteen (15) positions to support the Community Health and Wellness Division’s Maternal and Child Health Program. These positions are essential for delivering home-visitation support to enrolled families, navigating families to essential health and social service needs, engaging families in various health education topics, and conduct outreach initiatives to meet the goals and outcomes of the program. The positions include thirteen (13) Community Health Coordinators and two (2) Social Work Supervisors.
Expected Impact:
Increase to expenses by approximately $747,697 for the remainder of FY24 and $1,375,589 on annual basis in salary and benefits going forward, which will be covered by the existing ARPA Maternal Health Program budget. These positions will support Public Health Services.
