Request by the Office of County Administration for an executive session pursuant to Texas Govt. Code Sec. 551.074 for discussion and possible action for Commissioners Court to ratify the appointment of Marcus Stuckett as Executive Director for the Flood Control District.

Background and Discussion:
The hiring of the Flood Control District Executive Director by the County Administrator requires ratification by Commissioners Court.
The County Administrator serves as the Flood Control Manager with the rights and responsibilities set forth in statute to provide oversight of the Flood Control District. A separate Executive Director retains the day-to-day operational duties and powers.
Proposed motion: To ratify the appointment of Marcus Stuckett as the Executive Director of the Harris County Flood Control District. That the Office of County Administration be authorized to finalize compensation benefits and the start date of Monday, June 29, 2026, as allowable under the Harris County Policy, and that all Harris County officials and employees are authorized to do any and all things necessary or convenient to accomplish the purpose of this order.
