Background and Discussion:

The project is located in east Harris County, north of I-10 near Baytown Texas. The McNair Area consists of an existing asphalt road with roadside ditch draining towards O125-00-00. The scope of the project consists of receiving a Preliminary Engineering Report with recommendations to converting the existing roads to curbs and gutter and companied with a Construction Cost Estimate.

Expected Impact:

This project seeks to adhere to the principles established in Commissioner Adrian Garcia’s Revive2thrive initiative.  Revive2thrive focuses on revitalization rather than gentrification by empowering communities and creating opportunities for existing neighborhoods to be more resilient, inclusive, and thriving. This professional services agreement is a step to ensure Commissioner Adrian Garcia's initiative. The fiscal impact of this project will come from Precinct 2. No impact on the project schedule or staffing is anticipated.

Alternative Options:

Without this project, the proposed improvements to the McNair Area will not be realized as requested by Precinct 2.
