The landowner’s appraisal for just compensation due to the landowner was $ 1,517,883.00. The parties have agreed that the just compensation due to the landowner for this taking is $ 962,500.00. Harris County Flood Control District will owe to the landowner $ 469,836.43. The Real Property Division and HCFCD participated in the settlement negotiations and this settlement is acceptable to them.  An order authorizing the settlement of this lawsuit is attached for use by the Court if it decides it would be in the best interest of the County to settle this claim.
