title

Transmittal by the Flood Control District of the executed amendment to the agreement with the Texas General Land Office to approve three projects for the CDBG-DR Program (24-033-000-E072) and to extend the CDBG-DR grant end date to February 28, 2027.

Background and Discussion:

The purpose of this transmittal is to inform Commissioner’s Court of the second amendment to the CDBG-DR Contract (24-033-000-E072), which adds three projects to the contract and extends the CDBG-DR program deadline to February 28, 2027.  The CDBG-DR contract was approved by Commissioners Court on October 31, 2023, and was amended on June 4, 2024 to include seven General Land Office (GLO) approved applications.  As additional applications are approved by the GLO, the CDBG-DR contract will be further amended to include those projects.

The three projects being amended into the contract include the following:

•                     Dinner Creek Stormwater Detention Basin - Phase 1 (U520-01-00-E004)

•                     Keegans Bayou Detention Basin near Old Richmond Road-Phase 1 (D518-03-00-E002)

•                     Greens Bayou Mid-Reach Channel Conveyance Improvements (P100-00-00-E014)

The seven projects that have already been amended into the contract include the following:

•                     Arbor Oaks Stormwater Detention Basin

•                     Brookglen Stormwater Detention Basin Phase 2

•                     East TC Jester Detention Basin

•                     Isom Stormwater Detention Basin

•                     Jackson Bayou Stormwater Detention Basin and Channel Modifications

•                     Kluge Stormwater Detention Basin - Phase 3

•                     Lauder Stormwater Detention Basin Phase 2, Compartment 2

Expected Impact:

With the approval of these three projects, the Flood Control District can now seek reimbursement on expenditures related to the CDBG-DR program for ten projects.  This amendment also extends the spending milestones and ultimate program deadline to February 28, 2027.
