Background and Discussion:
Service and Support for the NICE Inform Telephone System and the Department’s Radio Recording Systems for the Emergency Dispatch Center in partnership with Greater Harris County (GHC).
This agreement establishes the total cost of $1,779,181.61 for five years of service for both software components, HCSO Radio and GHC 911 Telephony. This amount includes the Year 1 service costs as well as all annual renewal amounts through Year 5, as reflected in the Fiscal and Personnel Summary. In addition to the full agreement amount, this item includes a request for $334,710 to process a one-time settlement invoice related to this service. The funding distribution aligns with the amounts shown in the Fiscal and Personnel Summary.
Expected Impact:
This agreement will provide for the continuing maintenance of the hardware and software support for the NICE IP recording system. This system records all 911, non-emergency telephone traffic, some administrative phone lines as well as the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Radio traffic for the Emergency Dispatch Center.
