Background and Discussion:
This project is for the asphalt paving improvements and related items at various locations within Harris County Precinct 4. The change includes costs associated with overruns on certain existing items due to field conditions appearing to have roads that needed more attention than showed on the work order. Precinct approved the request to repair extra damaged roads.
Expected Impact:
Change allows for the addition of existing bid item quantities/money to the contract so the project can be completed in accordance with the original intent. This change will also allow the contractor to be compensated for the work done. Repairing the additional roadways provides a safe and reliable route of transportation to residents of the Harris County. The project was overseen by Harris County Engineering Department CPI-Construction Programs Division.
