Request that the County Judge execute a Correction General Warranty Deed for Harris County Flood Control District for the public project known as Helms Stormwater Detention Basin and Conveyance Improvements, tract number P118-00-00-15-035.0, UPIN 23090MF2MG01, Precinct 3.

Background and Discussion:
The Helms Stormwater Detention Basin and Conveyance Improvements project, also known as Bond Project C-01, will construct channel conveyance improvements and a pair of stormwater detention basins to reduce the risk of flooding by taking in excess stormwater during heavy rain events and then releasing it slowly back to the channel when the threat of flooding has passed. Excavation of the stormwater detention basins began in winter 2020 and will hold stormwater that might otherwise flood homes and businesses.
The wrong property description, Grantor's designation and address was inadvertently recorded with the original deed. In order to correct this action, a correction deed prepared by the CAO must be executed by the County Judge.
Expected Impact:
The project will reduce the vulnerability of properties within the project area during future flooding events.
Alternative Options:
If there is no action, the property would not be properly conveyed to HCFCD.
