Background and Discussion:

At the request of the Houston Regional Veterans Chamber of Commerce (HRVCC), whose mission is to promote economic growth and development within the veteran business community, DEEO has been invited to participate as a sponsor in the Veterans Business Marketplace. This two-day event will showcase over forty (40) veteran-owned businesses and entrepreneurs from the Houston area.

The Veterans Business Marketplace provides a platform to recognize and honor the entrepreneurial spirit of veterans, who bring unique skills, leadership, and dedication to the business landscape. By participating, DEEO demonstrates its commitment to supporting veteran-led initiatives, fostering economic development, and contributing to the diversification of the local economy.

Expected Impact:

This event will allow us to engage with the community and make meaningful connections. By attending and sponsoring the Veterans Business Marketplace, DEEO plays a crucial role in empowering veteran entrepreneurs, supporting their ventures, and contributing to a thriving, inclusive economic environment in the Houston region.

Alternative Options:

No alternative; failure to approve the sponsorship will impact DEEO’s ability to engage with this community of business and community leaders.
