Background and Discussion:
The granting agency requires the Resolution be submitted with the Application by May 28, 2024 or soon after. The application is in progress but the court packet will not be completed in time for the June 4th court. For this reason, the Sheriff’s Office is first seeking approval of the resolution. The application will be later routed through for placement on the June 25, 2024 court.
Expected Impact:
This grant would provide funding for the Auto Theft Unit to combat auto theft.

Not applying for this grant would forfeit the funding opportunity for the Auto Theft Unit.
