Background and Discussion:
Harris County Engineering Department (HCED) received a request from Precinct 2 for a drainage improvement project within Todville Road Area. The scope of this project includes: H&H Analysis for at least one of three alternatives & identifying potential locations for mitigation volume, preparation of street alignment and typical sections incorporating 6-foot-wide concrete sidewalks and curb ramps at street intersections, bridge replacement or improvement, preparation of traffic report and pedestrian survey, preparation of construction estimate, preparation of utility conflict list, provide exhibits/renderings for public engagement, environmental, survey, traffic review, and geotechnical tasks.
Expected Impact:
To provide Precinct 2 with a preliminary engineering report for the Todville Road Area to meet the Commissioner’s Revive2Thrive initiative to provide infrastructure improvements that benefit communities. This project is funded by Precinct 2.
Alternative Options:
Without this project the new drainage improvements in Todville Road Area will not be realized as requested by Precinct 2.
