Request for approval to accept three (3) lactation PODS donated by the Houston Bar Association (HBA) totaling approximately $99,000.

Background and Discussion:
The PODS will provide a welcoming and comfortable space for all individuals who may require lactation or wellness facilities, whether they are employees, jurors, or members of the public visiting the courthouses. The need for such spaces has been recognized as crucial to maintaining and promoting the wellness of mothers who are breastfeeding. The PODS would be installed at the Criminal Justice Center located at 1201 Franklin, the Civil Courthouse located at 201 Caroline, and the Jury Assembly located at 1201 Congress.
Expected Impact:
The POD will provide a comfortable, private and secure space for mothers who are breastfeeding.
Alternative Options:
Temporary areas could possibly be designated for lactation space.
