Background and Discussion:
The Project consists of the design and construction of roadway improvements along Huffmeister Road at SH 6. Roadway improvements include a southbound right turn lane with 250' storage and 200' taper, and a 5' wide sidewalk on the west side of Huffmeister Road from SH 6 to about 400' north in Precinct 3. This item I related to phase 2 of this project “Intersection Improvement - Huffmeister at SH 6 - 2022 Phase II” UPIN: 24208MF3KA01, which is the phase created after the project phase 1, UPIN: 23103MF2R001 on this item.
Expected Impact:
The approval of this Local On-System Agreement will allow for the County to construct the improvements of the project.
Alternative Options:
Not approving this Local On-System Agreement, which will prohibit construction of the project improvements.
Not being able to construct the improvements will result in maintaining the current traffic operations and pedestrian accessibility conditions of the intersection.
