Background and Discussion:

Request for Renew Pet Food for Harris County Public Health - Veterinary Public Health (VPH) is an open intake animal shelter that houses an average of 500 to 600 animals daily.  Feeding these pets consistent, high-quality food is important for the animal’s wellbeing. This contract provides consistent food quality, pricing and delivery.

Expected Impact:

This contract will improve animal health and welfare at the shelter, ultimately leading to increased adoption rates and a healthier overall shelter population.

Alternative Options:

Without a contract, VPH will need to identify multiple vendors to purchase quality pet food
