Background and Discussion:
The roadway project includes upgrading the existing two lane asphalt roadway to a four lane concrete curb and gutter boulevard within a 100 foot median. The interlocal agreement documents maintenance agreement of Hufsmith Kohrville Road within the TXDOT Grand Parkway right of way limits. The amendment language includes the maintenance of the sidewalk in the Harris County ROW.
Expected Impact:
The outcome of the interlocal agreement amendment will allow both Harris County and TXDOT to identify the maintenance terms for both parties during construction.
Alternative Options:
An alternative to not add the TXDOT requested verbaiges into the interlocal agreement which would not allow the road expansion project to move forward.
