Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct 2 has requested the Office of the County Engineer to manage the design, bidding and construction of a new restroom/concession/storage building. The new construction will replace an existing dated concession building and portable restrooms currently utilized. The project is a high priority for Precinct 2 and the City of Houston constituents.
Expected Impact:
Precinct 2 will be able to proceed with park improvements to Denver Harbor Park, which will help improve the aesthetics of the park, increase park usage and safety and enhance the quality of life for constituents of Harris County Precinct 2 and the City of Houston.
Alternative Options:
If no action is taken, the contractor will not be able to proceed with Construction Services, and the existing park will continue operating under existing conditions.
