Background and Discussion:

On January 31, 2023, Harris County Housing and Community Development (HCD) Department entered into an agreement Job #22/0306 with Ardurra Group, Inc. to assist by providing construction management and inspection services of single-family housing in need of rehabilitation and/or reconstruction services to further the County’s and the U.S. Department of Treasury’s American Rescue Plan Act (“ARPA”) Affordable Housing goals.

The County and Contractor desire to amend the agreement for the first time (the “First Amendment”) for the purpose of reducing funds to the Agreement due to a reduction in the scope of services needed for the U.S. Department of Treasury’s ARPA Affordable Housing Portfolio.

Expected Impact: The expected impact is for the Contractor to provide construction management and inspection services for the U.S. Department of Treasury’s ARPA Affordable Housing Portfolio to enable the County to implement the portfolio in accordance with the specifications set forth in the Request for Proposal job #22/0306.

Alternative Options:

If not awarded, this will delay the implementation of the U.S. Department of Treasury’s ARPA Affordable Housing Portfolio.
