Request for approval of orders authorizing acceptance of payments in connection with settlement of damages to county equipment and property in the total amount of $82,921 and five workers compensation recoveries in the total amount of $2,556; tort claim and other settlement recommendations in the amount of $7,073; denial of 35 claims for damages; transmittal of claims for damages received during the period ending April 20, 2021; and that the County Judge execute two releases in exchange for payments to the county in the total amount of $1,369 in connection with property damage claims.

Background and Discussion:
Report all monies recovered from claimants, all claims that were denied, all claims for damages that was received, monies received for workers compensation claims, payments requested for claimant’s vehicle/property damage and any releases received for payments owed to the county. Tort claim recoveries and expenses are applied to the General Fund (1000) and workers compensation claims and recoveries are applied to the Workers Compensation Fund (5121). $86,845 of recoveries is partially offset by $7,073 of expenses, for a net revenue increase of $79,772.
